Daniel Mauss

Dr. med. Daniel Mauss, born in 1967 in Krefeld, lives with his wife and two daughters at the bavarian lake Ammer. First he studied sport sciences at the German sport university Cologne before taking the chance of a second study of medicine at the Universities of Munich, Zurich, Hong Kong and Capetown.

After his PhD in orthopaedic surgery he worked in surgical and cardiological clinics. At this time he was very active as an emergency doctor. In 2004 he graduated as a occupational health specialist at MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG in Munich and changed to European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company EADS in 2005 to become company physician at Augsburg site. Since 2008 he is chief company physician of EADS Deutschland GmbH seated in Unterschleissheim nearby Munich. He cares for approx. 20,000 EADS employees.

Mr. Mauss has special qualifications in sport medicine, emergency medicine and travel medicine as well as in acupuncture.

The main focus of his work is a holistic endangerment analysis as basis for a comprehensive company health management. For this aim he cooperates with MIPH - Mannheimer Institute for Public Health at University of Heidelberg. Development of a progressive company health management programm is right at the top of his priority list.

In the year 2008 Dr. Mauss was decorated with the Felix Burda Award in the category "Prevention at Work" for his comprehensive health screening program at EADS.
