Moshe Shike

 

Moshe Shike, M.D. joined the Department of Medicine at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York, in 1981 where he is currently an Attending Physician and Director of Clinical Nutrition.  He is a professor of medicine at Cornell Weill Medical Center.  Dr. Shike is the past director of the Cancer Prevention and Wellness Program at MSKCC, which he established in 1999. He graduated from Tel Aviv University School of Medicine in 1974, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Harvard School of Medicine and a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Nutrition at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Shike has focused his research on cancer screening and prevention and nutrition in cancer. His research also includes studies on nutrition support in cancer patients, particularly enteral and parenteral nutrition.  Dr. Shike is the co-editor of the text Modern Nutrition in Health and Disease, and he extensively published in peer-reviewed journals.
